Home Buyer Basics

So, you've decided to buy a home. Now what?

We know that buying your first home is one of the biggest financial decisions you'll ever make. Check out the following information to help ease your mind and answer some of the questions you'll likely have about the process.

Your Realtor's Role
  1. Help eliminate homes that are out of your budget, in less than desirable neighborhoods, or those that don't meet your individual goals.
  2. Suggest homes which seem to meet your goals.
  3. Help you decipher homes which seem to be a good buy, but may not hold their value in the future.
  4. Negotiate the best deal for you. With a pre-qualification letter from us, your realtor is better able to prove to the seller you are a serious, capable buyer, which may give you a leg up from other buyers.

Your Mortgage Loan Officer's Role
  1. Help you to select the best loan to fit your individual needs.
  2. Keep you informed about your loan's status throughout the entire process.
  3. Communicate with your real estate agent during the loan process.

Your Role
  1. Get pre-approved as soon as possible. When you know your financing is in place, you can concentrate on finding a home.
  2. Contact your real estate agent with questions or concerns as they arise.
  3. Keep the process moving ahead by promptly proving documentation and making decisions.
